Murtha Cullina Attorney Michael Goldfarb Wins CBA Star of the Year Award

June 27, 2012

HARTFORD, CT… The Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) Young Lawyers Section presented Murtha Cullina LLP attorney Michael D. Goldfarb (West Hartford resident) with the “Star of the Year Award” in recognition of his service to the bar.

The CBA Young Lawyers Section “Star of the Year Award” was presented at the June 22nd CBA Young Lawyers Section retreat.

During the past year, Attorney Goldfarb served as the Director of Government Relations for the Young Lawyers Section. In that role, he implemented a new event series entitled "Conversations with the Government," which was designed to give Young Lawyers Section members exclusive opportunities to interact with leaders of Connecticut's three branches of government.

“I am honored to be the recipient of this award,” stated Murtha Cullina attorney Michael D. Goldfarb. “Acting as Director of Government Relations has given me the opportunity to provide a new service to fellow bar members. This event series has successfully facilitated conversations with some of the state’s highest ranking elected and appointed officials about economic and legal issues and new legislation impacting our communities and the businesses we represent.”

Past events have featured conversations with Connecticut Supreme Court Justice Peter T. Zarella, Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy, and House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero.

Attorney Goldfarb will be continuing the "Conversations with the Government" series throughout the upcoming bar year (2012-2013), with events to be held in the fall, winter and spring.
