Murtha Means More

Murtha Cullina Giving Tree to Support Hartford Mercy Housing and Shelter Corp.

December 19, 2012

Hartford, CT (December 19, 2012) – For several years, the staff and attorneys of Murtha Cullina’s Hartford office have come together to provide holiday support for the Mercy Housing and Shelter Corporation located in Hartford.

Each December, Mercy Housing sends Murtha Cullina a wish list and the firm decorates a Christmas tree with gift tags filled with the holiday wishes of children and families in need.

“Our hope is that these gifts not only spread holiday cheer, but also help in making someone’s Christmas wish come true,” said Audrey Gehring, Human Resources Assistant at Murtha Cullina. “It truly is a rewarding experience to decorate the firm tree with these gift tags and then see them replaced with gifts for children and families within our community.”

As an additional holiday gift, staff members in the firm’s Hartford office also gathered together to knit and crochet blankets for the children and families of Mercy Housing. The blankets were handmade and included individual notes and warm wishes for their recipients.
