Murtha Cullina Attorney Burt Cohen Named Co-Chair of CBA Diversity Committee

New Haven, CT (August 28, 2013) – Murtha Cullina attorney Burt Cohen (Guilford, CT resident) was recently appointed as Co-Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Diversity Committee.

In his role with the committee, Mr. Cohen will work with committee Co-Chair attorney Susan Kirkeby to lead efforts to make the Connecticut Bar Association and its members more diverse. 

Mr. Cohen, a partner at Murtha Cullina, has practiced law for 29 years in the areas of communications, regulatory and administrative law and related federal and state court litigation. He represents the communications and other regulated industries in matters involving commercial litigation, state tax, and general corporate and business law. Mr. Cohen currently serves on the board of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity and as Chair of Murtha Cullina’s Diversity Committee – a firm committee that promotes diversity within Murtha Cullina. Mr. Cohen also serves on the Connecticut Bar Association’s Board of Governors, House of Delegates and Committee of the Unauthorized Practice of Law. 

Mr. Cohen earned his B.A. from Trinity College, and his J.D. from Western New England School of Law.
