Murtha Cullina Partners with reSET to Host Hartford Business Breakfast Series
January 16, 2014
HARTFORD, CT (January 15, 2014)… Murtha Cullina and Hartford-based reSET have teamed up to host Murtha Cullina’s Hartford Business Breakfast Series. Each month, the firm’s Hartford Business Breakfast seminars will now be presented at reSET’s Pratt Street location.
The Business Breakfast Series, presented in Hartford, New Haven and Boston, is a series of seminars designed to give companies and service providers in-depth examinations of topics that affect a wide range of businesses. Firm attorneys look at significant legal and business issues created by each topic, and where possible, suggest concrete solutions. The series is open and informative, and provides opportunity to help guests answer industry-related questions.
“To support the development of entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies in our local marketplace, we made a decision to partner with reSET,” stated Dave Menard, Murtha Cullina attorney and founder of the Business Breakfast Series. “Bringing our monthly seminars directly to reSET and their community enables these new businesses and innovators to take advantage of a free and educational service often tailored to support their industry needs.”
reSET, a nonprofit organization, is a community of entrepreneurs, educators, innovators, investors and policy makers each committed to making their communities healthier, safer places to live through social enterprise. Their offices, located at 99 Pratt Street in Hartford, offers a vibrant, collaborative, co-working space which allows entrepreneurs to share ideas, inspiration and resources, and save on overhead costs.
Last summer, Murtha Cullina expanded the Business Breakfast Series into the New Haven entrepreneurial marketplace. To host the New Haven seminars, Murtha Cullina partnered with the Grove. The Grove, a social enterprise initiative of Groundworks Initiatives, is New Haven’s co-working space, where entrepreneurs, non-profits and change agents come together to collaborate, innovate and build their businesses.
“We are thrilled to have both reSET and The Grove as series partners, and continue in our mission to provide an easily accessible service that supports entrepreneurs, builds business, and ultimately generates positive momentum within our state’s economy,” commented Mr. Menard.
Mr. Menard began the Business Breakfast Series nearly five years ago in Boston as a way to deliver firm clients with added information and educational resources about the laws and regulations affecting their businesses. The monthly seminars include presentations lead by Murtha Cullina attorneys as well as outside professionals in an array of industries.
Mr. Menard also commented, “As we broaden the reach of our seminars, we have been fortunate to attract so many new and innovative presenters and guests. Each provides invaluable trade and market perspective on the trending issues affecting the way we all do business.”
Following each of the monthly seminars, select Murtha Cullina attorneys will follow-up each New Haven and Hartford presentation with office hours for entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies.
