Hartford, CT (September 22, 2016)…The Business and Finance Department of Murtha Cullina LLP is pleased to welcome Mark J. Tarallo as a partner in the Firm’s Boston office and Brian W. Fischer as an associate in the Firm’s Hartford office.
“We are excited to expand our team with two skilled corporate attorneys,” said Thomas M. Daniells, Chair of the Business and Finance Department. “Mark’s practice primarily consists of mergers and acquisitions and general corporate work from start-ups to public companies. Brian will be working primarily on corporate matters utilizing his experience with publicly traded and privately held corporations.”
Mr. Tarallo will represent entities ranging from startups to publicly listed international businesses. He works closely with clients to negotiate, draft and review all documents in connection with venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings. He advises on general corporate matters including securities, governance, intellectual property, licensing, employment and litigation. Additionally, he assists clients such as private funds and investment advisers in connection with regulatory and securities matters.
Mr. Tarallo is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Boston College and his J.D. magna cum laude from New England School of Law.
Mr. Fischer practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, emerging companies and venture capital investments, banking and securities law. He counsels corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, officers, directors, board committees and stockholders in connection with a wide variety of transactional and advisory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, corporate finance issues, proxy contests, stockholder meetings and corporate governance issues.
Mr. Fischer is a member of the American Bar Association, Business Law Section. He earned his L.L.M in Banking and Financial Law from the Boston University School of Law, his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.B.A from the University of Miami. He is admitted to practice law in Delaware and anticipates Connecticut admission in 2017.
