Our Immigration Practice Group would like to encourage anyone who wishes to apply for green cards, citizenship/naturalization and other immigration benefits for which they are eligible to apply at your earliest convenience to avoid the increase in filing fees going into effect on October 2, 2020.

Here are examples of fee increases for the most common types of applications:

  • N-400 Naturalization: from $725 to $1,200
  • N-336 Naturalization Appeals: from $700 to $1,735
  • Family-based Green Card (Adjustment of Status) including work and travel permits: from $1,760 to $2,860 
  • Asylum: from $0 to $50
  • H-1B Petition: increase of $95
