RICHARD A . KANOFF JOINS MURTHA CULLINA LLP

Boston, MA (July 26, 2010)… Richard A. Kanoff has joined Murtha Cullina LLP as a partner in the firm’s Boston office and as co-chair of the Energy Practice Group. Mr. Kanoff will focus his efforts on expanding the firm’s energy, renewable energy and energy efficiency practices. He will represent clients in the areas of energy and clean technology law and regulatory policy and litigation, including permitting, development and transactional matters.


Mr. Kanoff comes to Murtha with over 25 years of experience providing advice to numerous emerging and established public companies in diverse energy markets such as clean coal and other fossil fuel-related generation, biofuels, biomass, energy and demand  management, smart grid, solar, wind, fuel cells and other distributed generation technologies. He has extensive knowledge in renewable energy project development, traditional power plant development and permitting, demand response, and in drafting and negotiating complex transactional documents.


“I look forward to advocating for policies that encourage financing and growth in the energy sector and assisting clients as they deploy renewable energy generation and implement energy efficiency strategies,” Mr. Kanoff said.
