Murtha Cullina's New Haven & Madison Offices Give Generously to Several Charities During Holiday Season
December 23, 2010
Murtha Cullina's New Haven and Madison offices generously supported numerous charities during the 2010 Holiday Season!
On Tuesday, December 7, attorneys and staff donated their time at the Easter Seals Goodwill Foundation Fantasy of Lights in New Haven by collecting donations and handing out goodie bags filled with candy.
For the sixth year in a row, the New Haven and Madison offices of Murtha Cullina provided holiday gifts to teens in Youth Continuum programs, and this year provided 20 holiday stockings stuffed with basic toiletries and gift cards to McDonald's and Dunkin' Donuts.
Finally, the offices adopted four families in the "Adopt-A-Family" program sponsored by Coordinating Council for Children in Crisis. These families received warm winter clothing, a playpen, books and toys for their children, as well as $250 gift cards to Stop & Shop and $150 gift cards to Wal-Mart.
"Instead of simply raising money, we wanted to do something to feel connected to our community" said Anita Gawronski, the New Haven Office Manager who headed up the cause. "We all feel a personal connection to these causes and wanted to make their holiday a little special.
