Cherie Gabrielle Phoenix
Ms. Phoenix is an associate practicing primarily with the Cable and Telecommunications Law practice group and with the Commercial Law and Real Estate group. As part of her cable and telecommunications regulatory responsibilities, Ms. Phoenix prepares compliance filings for rate and programming change notifications and annual and semi-annual reports submitted to state agencies throughout New England. She also represents clients in state agency docket proceedings, preparing written comments, briefs, legal memoranda, and interrogatories. Ms. Phoenix's commercial transactional experience includes conducting conservation property closings, negotiating and securing property financing, and negotiating and drafting agreements in landlord/tenant leasing matters.
Ms. Phoenix sits on the Board of Directors of Connecticut's George W. Crawford Black Bar Association, serving as its Chair of Meetings and Programs and its Publicity Director. She is also a member of the Associates Advisory Committee in the state's Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity. Through the firm's pro-bono initiatives, Ms. Phoenix has also conducted closings for the Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity.
