Genea O. Bell
Ms. Bell is an associate in the Litigation department. She works primarily in the area of Labor and Employment, representing employers on issues relating to the National Labor Relations Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and state and federal employment discrimination laws including the Connecticut Fair Employment Practices Act (CFEPA), the ADA and Title VII. In addition, she handles commercial litigation matters, representing clients in contracts and construction disputes. She represents clients in state and federal court, and before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the American Arbitration Association.
Ms. Bell is currently the Chair of the Ethics Commission for the Town of Colchester. She received her B. Mus. from The Julliard School, her M.S. from City University of New York, and her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she was an Articles Editor for the Public Interest Law Journal and received CALI awards for Federal Courts and Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
