Jennifer Morgan DelMonico
Jennifer DelMonico is a trial lawyer for parties in complex commercial litigation disputes and defendants in tort and product liability actions. Ms. DelMonico has tried cases to verdict to judges and juries, in state and federal court, in a variety of matters. Her trials have involved claims of product liability, negligence, the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA), the Connecticut Uniform Trade Secrets Act (CUTSA), fraud, breach of contract, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, unjust enrichment, intentional spoliation, negligent spoliation, intentional interference with contractual relations, intentional interference with business expectancy, breach of probate bond, and breach of statutory corporate law. She has tried cases where money damages, declaratory judgment and injunctive relief have been sought.
Ms. DelMonico received a Bachelor of Music degree in Oboe Performance from Northwestern University in 1994, and graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1997. After law school, Ms. DelMonico worked as an associate in the Product Liability practice group at King & Spalding in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. She joined Murtha Cullina in 2000.
Ms. DelMonico has been the Partner-in-Charge of Murtha Cullina's New Haven office since 2005. She is the Secretary and General Counsel of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Greater New Haven program. She also serves as the Secretary of Easter Seals Goodwill Industries, Inc. and as a Director of the New Haven Bar Foundation. She is the former Chair of the Cultural Affairs Commission for the City of New Haven.
Ms. DelMonico has received numerous honors and awards, including the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce's Alumnus of the Leadership Center Award and the MS Corporate Achiever Award. She also has been named one of the Connecticut Law Tribune's "Women in the Law High Achievers" and one of the New Haven Business Times' "Forty Under 40."
