Keith S. Varian


Keith Varian is a member of the Firm’s Long Term Care, Health Care and Business Finance Practice Groups. Keith represents nursing homes, assisted living communities, CCRCs, home health care and hospice agencies, hospitals and physicians in connection with a wide range of transactional and real estate matters including purchases, sales and leasing, HUD and private lender financings, contractual matters, capital expansions, joint venture participation and asset purchase agreements.

Keith is also a member of the Firm’s Retail and Hospitality Practice Group, which represents numerous retailers and businesses within the hospitality sector, such as restaurants and hotel chains. Keith regularly represents clients on landlord-tenant matters, including drafting leases, and frequently represents lenders and other parties interested in retail properties.

Keith has experience representing lenders and borrowers in connection with financings for renewable energy projects including solar (both ground mounted and rooftop), fuel cell, wind and other energy efficiency measures. Keith regularly works with Murtha Cullina’s Renewable Energy Practice Group on all elements of renewable projects including development, operations, negotiation of power purchase agreements, leases and construction agreements.

Keith, a Fairfield, Connecticut resident, is serving in his third term on the Fairfield RTM.
