Mark F. Korber
Mr. Korber represents hospitals, providers and their practice groups, and provider associations in a broad range of health care industry business transactions including physician/hospital joint ventures, physician recruitment transactions, MSO formation and contracting, bylaws and governance. He has negotiated, documented and closed many transactions for health care organizations, including sales, mergers and consolidations. He regularly assists clients in the negotiation of employment agreements for professionals and in matters relating to the retirement or other severance of professionals from their practices. For several years he has represented the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association on matters ranging from corporate governance to fee discrimination by insurers against podiatrists.
Mr. Korber also has substantial experience as a lawyer and volunteer for not-for-profit organizations throughout Connecticut and New England. He managed a multi-state merger to create the American Lung Association of New England. He has advised hospitals and other not-for-profit organizations regarding the management of charitable gifts and endowments. He served as Director and Chair of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, and previously served as Director and Chair of the United Way of the Capital Area. Mr. Korber is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law.
