Martha Everett Meng
Ms. Meng has represented long term care providers, including numerous nursing homes and assisted living communities, for over 20 years. Her practice includes advising these clients regarding federal and state regulatory matters, licensure, risk management, certificates of need and reimbursement, and representation in federal and state proceedings. She serves as primary general counsel to the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities, Inc., the major association of Connecticut nursing home providers.
Ms. Meng served as a member of the Connecticut Department of Public Health Working Group which developed Connecticut's assisted living regulations, and is former Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Continuing Care for the Connecticut Commissioner of Social Services. Ms. Meng has also served as a Founding Director and Secretary of the Connecticut Assisted Living Association. Formerly a member of the Adjunct Faculty at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Ms. Meng has lectured nationally on many aspects of long-term care, including presentations for the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Health Care Association, the Assisted Living Federation of America, and other provider groups and educational institutions, and published several book chapters and articles of interest to long-term care providers.
