Richard J. Saletta
In his practice of construction law and litigation, Mr. Saletta represents owners, including condominium unit associations, developers, general contractors, subcontractors and surety companies in both building and heavy construction. His experience includes the negotiation and preparation of diverse construction documents for domestic and international projects including private sector as well as publically financed projects. Mr. Saletta provides guidance and consultation from the inception of a project through completion. He focuses on resolving construction disputes through negotiation in a committed effort to avoid involving clients in costly construction litigation. When negotiation is not successful, Mr. Saletta draws upon his extensive experience in mediation, arbitration and litigation to resolve a dispute.
Mr. Saletta sat as an arbitrator in Zurich, Switzerland for the International Chamber of Commerce involving projects in North Africa. He also sat as an arbitrator for the International Center for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Saletta’s experience in completing failed construction projects for surety companies and private developers is widespread. He has completed over 16 high rise and heavy construction projects which were abandoned during various stages of construction.
Mr. Saletta has defended and prosecuted numerous large personal injury claims including construction accident claims and personal injury claims resulting from gas explosions and automobile accidents.
