The firm's lawyers have experience in all aspects of the Employee Benefits practice. We assist with respect to:

• the preparation and review of plan and trust documents and amendments, investment management agreements, custodian agreements and summary plan descriptions
• submissions to and approval by the Internal Revenue Service of plans and modifications
• the preparation and review of domestic relations orders
• matters involving fiduciary responsibilities
• compliance with HIPAA privacy requirements

We have extensive experience in dealing with federal governmental agencies and have successfully represented plans in connection with a variety of matters involving the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. The Employee Benefits group is able to draw upon the extensive experience of the firm's litigation department in contested ERISA and benefits-related matters. The Employee Benefits group also assists clients in handling various employee benefit matters which arise in connection with the purchase and sale of businesses and other major corporate transactions.
