In recognition of Murtha Cullina’s 75th anniversary year, Governor Malloy Proclaims May 4, 2011 Murtha Cullina LLP Day

In recognition of Murtha Cullina’s 75^th anniversary year, Governor Dannel P. Malloy has officially proclaimed Wednesday, May 4, 2011 as “Murtha Cullina LLP” Day.

Murtha Cullina LLP is celebrating its 75^th anniversary throughout 2011, but the main event will be taking place on Wednesday evening, May 4, 2011 during a celebration with clients, friends and staff being held in the CityPlace Atrium, the office building where the Hartford office is located.

Murtha Cullina LLP traces its history back to 1936. This generation is more familiar with the firm which, in 1967, became Murtha, Cullina, Richter and Pinney. Between 1967 and 2011, the firm opened offices in New Haven in 1984, Stamford in 2005 and Madison in 2008. In 2000, a Massachusetts location was added when Murtha, Cullina, Richter and Pinney, LLP combined practices with Roche, Carens & DeGiacomo, P.C., a business and litigation firm in Boston, and the firm then became known as Murtha Cullina LLP.

Throughout 2011, the firm is giving back to the community as part of the celebration. Community activities include volunteering several times each month at Hartford’s Hands on Hartford Community Meals, support of Boston’s Legal Food Frenzy and several other charitable events.

Stewart, the firm’s managing partner. “It is also as important to acknowledge our devoted employees. Our rich history is largely due to those we have served loyally for many years and those who have loyally served us, and we look forward to continuing this tradition.”
