Be Wary of English-Only Policies in Workplace

Employers need to tailor their employment practices and policies to accommodate a workforce comprised of individuals from diverse nations and cultural backgrounds. Some employers may decide to limit certain characteristics attendant to the national origin, such as the use of a foreign language. Implementing such policies, especially English-only workplace rules, can be tricky and employers must ensure compliance with the various sets of rules and regulations governing the workplace.
