"Play or Pay"

What businesses need to know to gear up for the 2014 changes

Beginning January 1, 2014, the much-anticipated "play or pay" or "shared responsibility" provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) come into effect. Employers that are considered to be "large" must offer qualifying health insurance coverage to their "full-time" employees, or pay a non-deductible penalty. Join us for an informational seminar to see how your company may be affected, and get the perspectives of both attorneys and a benefits consultant concerning this important topic.

Topics addressed include:

  • What does it mean to be a "large" employer
  • What large employers need to know
  • Meeting the PPACA "play or pay" standards
  • How to handle "variable hour employees"
  • How the "play or pay" provisions will impact benefit offerings in 2014 and beyond
  • Defining the necessary action steps and planning possibilities
