About the Program:

While employers have sponsored wellness programs for many years, the Affordable Care Act gave them a tremendous boost when it permitted employers to offer discounts of 30% of employee premium cost for participation.  The EEOC put a damper on some programs because it contended that such high discounts made them "involuntary" and violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.  After several Court losses, and Congressional anger, the EEOC has liberalized its position and issued proposed rules which eases the burdens for Employers who want to offer such programs.  We will discuss the structure of wellness programs and the impact of the proposed EEOC rules.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anyone with responsibility for their company’s health plan.
