On May 18, 2016, the US Department of Labor announced a significantly-increased salary threshold for exempt positions, $47,476. This regulation takes effect on December 1, 2016. NOW is the time to review your positions to determine compliance with the new thresholds. It is also the right time to audit your exempt positions, not only for the new salary threshold but also to review compliance with the "duties" test.

We will discuss the exemption standards, staffing changes to avoid violations, training issues, telecommuting & travel policies and communications to employees affected by anticipated changes to your organizational structure.
