On May 17, Bob Kaelin, partner and co-chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice, received the Connecticut Bar Association Commercial Law & Bankruptcy Section’s 2023 Service to the Profession Award at the Commercial Law & Bankruptcy Section Meeting’s annual CLABBY awards.

Bob has been an active member and volunteer of the Connecticut Bar Association Commercial Law & Bankruptcy Section. Bob has served as past officer and Chair of the Commercial Law & Bankruptcy Section and more recently was Chair of the Annual CT Bankruptcy Conference. He continues to serve on the Section’s Executive Committee.

Bob’s bankruptcy practice includes representing both creditors and debtors in Chapter 11, 13 and 7 bankruptcy cases. He has represented numerous debtors, creditors’ committees, secured creditors, landlords and trustees both in Connecticut and around the country. 

Bob noted, "Given how much I have benefited over the years from being a member of the Commercial Law & Bankruptcy Section, I have always tried to do my part in giving back to the Section and its members."

Bob currently serves on the American Bankruptcy Institute Northeast Bankruptcy Conference Advisory Board and on the Turnaround Management Association, CT Chapter Board of Directors. Bob is also a contributing editor to Norton Bankruptcy Law and Practice and a faculty member for the Norton Bankruptcy Litigation Institute.
