CABO Recognizes Murtha Cullina Attorney Dena M. Castricone

Hartford, CT (November 2, 2012) – The Connecticut Alliance for Business Opportunities (CABO) LGBT Chamber of Commerce recognized Murtha Cullina attorney Dena M. Castricone (resident of New Haven, CT) during CABO’s 5th Anniversary Business Expo and Awards Event, held on October 23rd

Dena, founder of CABO, stepped down as acting board president. In recognition of her work to found and grow CABO, elected officials, professional colleagues and CABO members gathered to speak about her accomplishments.

In regards to her time spent as president, Dena said, “it is all of the members that have made my vision a reality and CABO is more amazing in real life than I could have ever imagined it in my head. Serving as your president has been the greatest honor of my professional life.”

Those that congratulated and highlighted Dena’s successes include Nancy Wyman, Connecticut Lieutenant Governor; Kevin Lembo, Connecticut State Comptroller; Jennifer Morgan DelMonico, Partner at Murtha Cullina LLP; Jenn Tracz Grace, Executive Director of CABO; CABO’s founding board members; and Sam McClure, NGLCC Director of Affiliate and External Relations.

During the evening, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman presented Dena with a gift and remarked on how successful CABO is because of Dena and said that the state is a better place because of her.

As a special honor and tribute to Dena, CABO members established the ‘Dena M. Castricone’ scholarship and named her president of the fund.

Dena Castricone is litigator and a member of the Long Term Care practice group at Murtha Cullina LLP.  She assists long term care providers with a wide range of regulatory, compliance, litigation, employment and risk management issues. Dena has experience in construction, employment and routine and complex business litigation. In 2010, the Connecticut Law Tribune recognized Dena in its Women in the Law - High Achievers edition; in March 2011, Connecticut Magazine named Dena one of Connecticut’s 40 Under 40; and in August 2011, the National LGBT Bar Association recognized Dena one of Best LGBT Lawyers under 40.
