CAHCF Honors Murtha Cullina Attorney with ElderCare Advocacy Award

HARTFORD, CT August 12, 2013)…The Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities (CAHCF) recently honored Murtha Cullina attorney Stephen E. Ronai with the ElderCare Advocacy Award.

The award, presented July 11th by Matthew Barrett, CAHCF's Executive Vice-President during the organization’s Annual Meeting in Mystic Seaport, was given in recognition of Mr. Ronai’s many years of advocacy in legal matters on behalf of nursing homes.

Mr. Ronai now serves as Of Counsel to Murtha Cullina and he previously served as Chairman of the firm’s Health Care department for more than twenty years. Mr. Ronai’s health care regulatory experience has included the provision of strategic business planning as well as administrative agency regulatory and litigation assistance to a broad spectrum of health care providers including hospitals, nursing homes and physician groups and he has enabled providers to surmount regulatory hurdles to reach the health care market and to obtain appropriate third party government and managed care organization (“MCO”) private payment reimbursement. Mr. Ronai earned his A.B. from Columbia University and his LL.B. from Yale University.
