Boston, MA (May 31, 2014)…Murtha Cullina LLP attorney Susan Baronoff was recently honored by the Boston Bar Association (BBA) for her pro bono work helping a victim of the Boston Marathon bombings. The BBA honored Susan, as well as others working for the BBA’s Marathon Assistance Project, at the May 12 Law Day Dinner in Boston.
After the 2013 bombings occurred, the BBA created the Marathon Assistance Project and contacted law firms looking for volunteers to assist individual victims and small businesses that were affected. Susan accepted this call to action and helped a bombing victim apply for financial support from The One Fund and the Massachusetts Office of Victim Compensation, and for other benefits. Recently, she has continued to support the victim in dealing with a mortgage lender and advocating in connection with an anticipated second distribution by The One Fund.
An experienced litigation attorney, Susan is an active member of Murtha Cullina’s Labor and Employment Practice Group.
