August 25, 2014 - MBC Women's Network Celebrates First Anniversary

New England Facilities Development News

Boston - More than 75 women came together on August 20th to mark the first anniversary of the Massachusetts Building Congress Women’s Network. Allsteel’s downtown roof deck was a perfect setting to celebrate a very successful year for this organization aimed at connecting women for business development; mentoring and promoting women in the A/E/C industry and recruiting more women members for the MBC.

In its first year, the MBC Women’s Network endowed an annual scholarship for young women looking to explore careers in architecture, engineering and construction fields. The group also started an annual donation to the Greater Boston Food Bank.

The anniversary celebration was a great opportunity for this collection of women to raise a glass to the successes and partnerships formed over the past year while looking ahead with excitement to a host of programs and events to come.

Sponsors of the event were: Allsteel, WSP, J. Derenzo Company, Haley & Aldrich, S&F Concrete, Total Office and saam architecture.
