November 24, 2014 - Attorney Leads Donation Drive for Local Non-Profit Organization

NEW HAVEN, CT (November 24, 2014)… Stephanie Sprague Sobkowiak, an Attorney at Murtha Cullina LLP, recently led a firm-wide cleaning supply drive for New Reach, a non-profit organization in New Haven.

New Reach helps build hopeful futures for vulnerable women, children and families throughout the greater New Haven area, providing them with emergency shelter, housing and basic needs. Through an initiative by the Greater New Haven Leadership Program, Ms. Sobkowiak began collecting cleaning supplies, including paper towels, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent and soap from each one of Murtha Cullina’s Connecticut offices. Between the Hartford, New Haven and Stamford offices and colleagues with whom she serves on the board of Saugatuck Child Care Services, Inc., another non-profit organization, more than 20 large baskets filled with cleaning supplies were collected.

Attorneys and staff also gave monetary donations for New Reach. “The women and families that New Reach supports are working incredibly hard,” said Ms. Sobkowiak, “and they often don’t have extra money for the luxury of cleaning supplies that many of us take for granted.”
