March 31, 2015 - Two Weeks Remain for Municipalities to Submit Applications for Brownfields Redevelopment Funds
March 31, 2015
The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development ("DECD") is accepting applications until April 14th for its newest round of grants, for a total of up to $7.5 million, to help remediate and redevelop brownfield sites throughout Connecticut. Eligible applicants, including municipalities and economic development agencies, may request up to $2 million for remediation projects and up to $200,000 for assessment projects. Funds may be used to assess, investigate, remediate and develop brownfields, including professional fees associated with redevelopment, such as attorney’s fees. In certain circumstances, a recipient may use the funds to make a low-interest loan to a brownfield redeveloper. Click here to read our e-blast dated March 5, 2015 for more information.
