HARTFORD, CT (January 29, 2016)…Murtha Cullina LLP has named Stephanie Sprague Sobkowiak as Co-Chair of the Firm’s Health Care Practice Group. 

Ms. Sobkowiak, a Partner at Murtha Cullina, represents health systems, hospitals, physicians, physician groups and other clients in the health care industry. Her practice includes assisting those clients with a wide range of compliance, regulatory, general business, managed care, risk management and reimbursement issues, including fraud and abuse, payor contracts, medical staff and credentialing matters, Certificates of Need, and HIPAA and related security breaches.

Along with Paul E. Knag, Ms. Sobkowiak will lead the Health Care group, an interdisciplinary team of experienced lawyers, each with insight and knowledge in the various areas of the law that directly affect the development, governance, financing, licensure, patient care delivery, quality control, reimbursement and day-to-day operation of both health care institutions and individual professional practices.

Ms. Sobkowiak is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. She received her B.S. summa cum laude from the University of Delaware and her J.D. from Boston College Law School.
