His three-year term will begin July 1, 2016. The House of Delegates is the policy making body of the CBA and consists of over 50 Connecticut attorneys. He also serves on the CBA Board of Governors and Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Mr. Cohen also was reappointed to serve as Chair of the CBA Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee, which provides guidance for law practitioners not admitted as attorneys in Connecticut and advises whether a particular activity is the practice of law. Mr. Cohen has practiced law for 32 years in the areas of communications, regulatory and administrative law and related federal and state court litigation. He currently chairs Murtha Cullina’s Information Security and Privacy and Communications Law Practice Groups. Mr. Cohen is a long-standing member of the board of the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity and was the former Chair of Murtha Cullina’s Diversity Committee – a firm committee that promotes diversity within the firm. Mr. Cohen also serves on the Executive Committee of the CBA Energy, Public Utility & Telecommunications Law Section. He is the former Chair of the Friends of New Haven Legal Assistance and a recipient of its 2012 Equal Access to Justice Award. Mr. Cohen earned his B.A. from Trinity College, and his J.D. from Western New England School of Law.
