Richard Marone is a Partner at Murtha Cullina and advises individuals, families and private businesses in the areas of wealth transfer planning, business law and taxation. He assists individuals and private businesses with sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax planning and compliance, family business succession planning, and business transactions. Mr. Marone has been certified as a probate and trust dispute mediator by The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”). He also advises exempt organizations on taxation and governance issues.

Mr. Marone currently serves as Chair of the Trusts & Estates Department at Murtha Cullina and is the Immediate Past State Chair of the Connecticut chapter of ACTEC. He is also a Director of the Connecticut Farmland Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Connecticut’s working farmlands.

Mr. Marone earned his B.A. from Fairfield University, his law degree from the College of William and Mary, and his L.L.M. in taxation from Boston University.
