New Haven, CT (July 21, 2016)…Attorney Elizabeth J. Stewart of Murtha Cullina LLP was appointed by the Chief Justice to the Connecticut Judicial Department Civil Commission for a three year term. Ms. Stewart will begin her term in September 2016.
The Connecticut Judicial Department Civil Commission was founded in 2000 by former Chief Justice Francis M. McDonald, Jr., and consists of judges and civil litigators who are charged with developing practices that improve the administration of civil justice and promoting the resolution of cases in a fair, timely and cost-effective manner.
“I am honored to have been selected to this esteemed group of members of the judiciary and bar to help improve the administration of judicial services,” remarked Ms. Stewart.
Ms. Stewart is the Chair of Murtha Cullina’s Complex Litigation Practice Group, and a member of the Firm’s Insurance Recovery and Appellate Practice Groups. She received her Bachelor’s degrees and J.D. from the University of Virginia.
