HARTFORD, CT (April 25, 2018)… Murtha Cullina LLP is pleased to welcome Matthew K. Curtin as a Partner. He is a member of the Litigation Department and the Labor and Employment Practice Group. 

Mr. Curtin represents private and public sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law.  He has successfully represented employers concerning a wide variety of claims before the National Labor Relations Board, the Connecticut State Board of Mediation and Arbitration, the Connecticut State Board of Labor Relations, the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, and in both federal and state court. Mr. Curtin has substantial experience with collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, and labor relations. He regularly counsels senior management and human resources professionals concerning employment contracts, employment policies, hiring and termination procedures, workplace investigations, and harassment and discrimination avoidance. Mr. Curtin is a frequent author and speaker concerning various employment issues.

Mr. Curtin served as a judicial extern to The Honorable Alfred V. Covello, Senior United States District Judge, District of Connecticut.  In law school, Mr. Curtin was publications editor for the Quinnipiac Law Review.

Mr. Curtin is a member of the Hartford County Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity International.  He received his B.A. from the University of Connecticut, his M.B.A. from Quinnipiac University, and his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
