Hartford, CT (May 7, 2019)…Murtha Cullina LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Marc T. Finer has been named a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation.

The Connecticut Bar Foundation James W. Cooper Fellows Program was established to honor the leading members of the legal community in Connecticut, to promote a better understanding of the legal profession and the judicial system, and to explore ways to improve the State’s administration of justice. Membership in the Fellows is by invitation only. 

Mr. Finer is Chair of the Firm’s Tax Practice Group.  He provides effective and innovative federal tax, multistate tax and business planning solutions for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, investment entities and individuals. He also regularly advises clients on federal, state and local tax compliance and reporting issues and represents businesses and individuals in tax controversy matters.

Mr. Finer is a member of the American and Connecticut Bar Associations.  He is licensed to practice in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and before the United States Tax Court.  He received his LL.M from New York University School of Law, his J.D. from Hofstra University and his B.S. from Binghamton University.
