Murtha Cullina LLP Partner Kari L. Olson was recently named a “Municipal Champion” by the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM).

CCM honored Ms. Olson and three other attorneys for their extensive work on a wide range of Executive Orders from the Governor that impacted local governments since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

“CCM’s 2020 Municipal Champions showed outstanding service and commitment to Connecticut towns and cities,” said Joe DeLong, CCM Executive Director and CEO.  “They put in countless hours on the complex issues related to over 80 Executive Orders from the Governor and worked tirelessly behind the scenes with CCM and our member municipal leaders over the last 10 months.”

Ms. Olson is the Chair of the Murtha Cullina Municipal Practice Group and the Chair of its Connecticut Land Use Practice Group.  She serves as Town Attorney and Special Counsel to several Connecticut municipalities.  She also serves as General Counsel to CCM and is on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Association of Municipal Attorneys.  Ms. Olson received her B.S., Cum Laude, from the University of Connecticut and her J.D. with High Honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
