STAMFORD, CT (February 8, 2021)…Murtha Cullina LLP Partner Lisa Newfield recently joined the Charitable Gift Planners of Connecticut Board of Directors.   

The Charitable Gift Planners of Connecticut provides ethically-focused gift planning education, training and advocacy to development professionals, professional advisors, volunteers and donor advisors.

Ms. Newfield is a member of the Murtha Cullina Trusts and Estates Department.  She represents individuals and families with sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax planning, family business succession planning, and charitable giving.  She also advises non-profit institutions’ development and planned giving departments.

Ms. Newfield is a noted lecturer on charitable giving and various trusts and estates topics. She is Vice Chair of the Charitable Planning Committee of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. Previously, she served as Co-Chair of the Probate Section of the Fairfield County Bar Association and she is a past board member the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York. 

Ms. Newfield received her bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and her J.D. from University of Michigan.
