Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Clarifies Vacation Pay Requirement

For ten years, the Massachusetts Attorney General's office has held that employers must pay out accrued but unused vacation pay upon separation from employment, despite what the employers policy or employment agreement may provide. Now, in a recent decision, Massachusett's highest court has affirmed the Attorney General's view.
