David J. McQuade Elected to Board of Directors of the Providence and Worcester Railroad Company

David J. McQuade, Senior Government Affairs Consultant for Murtha Cullina LLP’s Government Affairs Group, has been elected to the board of directors of the Providence & Worcester Railroad Company by its shareholders. The company made the announcement at their 167th annual meeting on April 27, 2011.

The Providence and Worcester Railroad Company (P&W), founded in 1844, is a regional freight railroad operating in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York. P&W’s rail system extends over approximately 516 miles of track, 306 miles of which are located in Connecticut. P&W’s corporate headquarters is located in Worcester, MA.

Mr. McQuade said, “I feel honored to have been elected a board member. I look forward to serving with a dynamic and diverse group of individuals dedicated to this industry.”

Mr. McQuade is the founder and senior member of Murtha Cullina’s legislative and administrative lobbying team. He is responsible for the development and coordination of all activities including the design and implementation of client public policy strategies and goals.
