Has your DME Supplier Offered You a GREAT Deal? Compliance Caution is Advised

In the dog-eat-dog world of medical goods suppliers, suppliers sometimes approach providers with "creative" compensation arrangements.  Some suppliers, for example, offer to compensate the provider for services purchased from the provider's staff.  These arrangements give the vendor preferred status and allows their representatives to have regular contact with prescribers and their staff (often bearing pizza or doughnuts).  The compensation may violate the Anti-kickback Statute exposing both parties to criminal liability.
