Dana R. Bucin
Dana R. Bucin is a partner at Murtha Cullina and is the Chair of the Immigration Practice Group.
She represents businesses and individual clients with a wide range of immigration matters, including green card applications, work visas, student visas, foreign investor visas, asylum, naturalization, religious work visas, as well as various other employment and family-based immigration matters.
As an immigration attorney with a business/corporate legal background, Dana's experience includes counseling foreign investors and entrepreneurs on setting up businesses in the U.S. or investing in existing U.S. ventures and obtaining a visa or green card based on such investment or entrepreneurship pursuant to the E-2, L-1 “new office”, H-1B “entrepreneur” and EB-5 visa options.
Dana regularly provides multi-lingual legal representation in English, Spanish, French, and Romanian. She also has a basic knowledge of Italian, German, Hungarian and Latin. She is often quoted as an expert by reputable publications such as Bloomberg/BusinessWeek and the Hartford Business Journal on topics of Immigration Law.
In 2020, Dana was listed in Connecticut Magazine’s “40 Under 40” edition. In 2019, she was named the “Attorney of the Year” by the Connecticut Law Tribune. In 2018, she was appointed to serve as the Honorary Consul of Romania to Connecticut. In 2016, the Connecticut Immigrant and Refugee Coalition recognized Dana as an Annual Immigrant Day Honoree and SuperLawyers listed her as a top rated attorney for Immigration Law. She has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell. She has also previously received the “40 under 40” award from the Hartford Business Journal, and the “New Leaders in the Law” and the “Women in the Law High Achievers” award from the Connecticut Law Tribune.
Dana received her J.D. from Boston University and her B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University.

Dana R. Bucin is a partner at Murtha Cullina and is the Chair of the Immigration Practice Group.
