David P. Friedman
David P. Friedman is a partner who serves as general counsel to the firm. An accomplished litigator, he represents corporations and individuals in complex commercial and civil cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts as well as in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings.
Frequently cited as a top-ranked litigator by many of the nation’s most prominent legal publications, David represents lawyers, law firms, and owners of small and family-owned businesses. He applies his experience, training and skills to help clients understand their legal positions, prioritize their goals, pursue litigation strategies, and find workable solutions that maximize their resources and minimize their exposure.
David offers the talented counsel clients require when confronted with complex, intractable problems. Honest and forthright, he provides an in-depth, realistic case analysis to his clients and ensures they understand their vulnerabilities and prospects. He regularly handles a wide variety of disputes, including:

• Allegations of fraud, theft, breach of fiduciary duties, conspiracy and other alleged improprieties

• Claims alleging unfair trade practices and violations of consumer protection laws
Known for his strong advocacy on behalf of clients in trials and appeals, David is also a veteran of numerous state grievance committee and state agency administrative hearings, arbitrations and mediations. He has represented clients during ADR proceedings and has also acted as a mediator and arbitrator. In addition, he formerly served as an attorney trial referee in the Connecticut Superior Court.
