Kelly A. Trahan
As Counsel in the Firm’s Business and Finance Department, Kelly Trahan represents clients in all aspects of commercial real estate and asset based transactions, including financing, complex acquisitions, dispositions, development and leasing.
Kelly’s representations of clients include negotiation of loan documentation, purchase and sale agreements, business formation, as well as all other aspects of commercial real estate and asset based transactions including conducting and coordinating due diligence projects involving title, survey and zoning reviews and corporate due diligence.
Prior to joining Murtha Cullina, Kelly represented life insurance companies and pension funds in making U.S. and international investments in timber and natural resource assets.
In 2017, Kelly was a recipient of the New Leaders in the Law Award from the Connecticut Law Tribune and in 2016, she received the 40 Under 40 Award from the Fairfield County Business Journal. In addition, Kelly was named a New England SuperLawyers Rising Star from 2013 through 2015.
Representative Matters:
- Ms. Trahan assisted in the documentation of a long-term, first mortgage loan secured by approximately 2.6 million acres of timberlands for a purchase price of $3.6 billion dollars across the Southern United States.
- Ms. Trahan has also assisted with the preparation of documentation and the closing of various multi-million dollar term loan transactions throughout the United States and Canada.
