Richard A. Marone


Richard currently serves as Chair of the Trusts & Estates Department at Murtha Cullina and is a Past State Chair of the Connecticut chapter of ACTEC and a Past Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association Estates and Probate Section. Richard has also served as a Director of the Connecticut Farmland Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Connecticut’s working farmlands.

Richard advises individuals, families and private businesses in the areas of wealth transfer planning, business law and taxation. He assists individuals and private businesses with sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax planning and compliance, family business succession planning, and business transactions. He also counsels trustees in the proper exercise of their fiduciary duties. 

Richard has been certified as a probate and trust dispute mediator by The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”). He also advises exempt organizations on taxation and governance issues.

Overview
