Alexis C. Brooks is a member of the Corporate, Emerging Companies, Family Business and Mergers & Acquisitions practices.
Alexis advises clients as they navigate all stages of a company’s development – from start-up to established business. Many of her clients are women entrepreneurs and business owners. Alexis drafts, reviews and negotiates agreements, advises on best practices, prepares company policies and assists with hiring needs.
Prior to joining Murtha Cullina, Alexis founded her firm, Brooks Law, PLLC, which was based in a female-centric entrepreneurial workspace. At Brooks Law, in addition to advising business owners and consultants, Alexis made a point of championing people launching new companies and providing pro bono services to participants at “pitch competitions.” She also provided educational workshops. Alexis developed her commercially minded practice style working in the product and licensing divisions of Nautica and Reebok before and during law school.
Alexis has provided pro bono services to Lawyers for Children and the Center for Children’s Advocacy. She interned at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston, Civil Division and Morrison Mahoney and Miller.
In her free time, Alexis enjoys swimming, skiing and spending time with her family and friends.
