STAMFORD, CT (December 12, 2018)…Murtha Cullina LLP is pleased to welcome Benjamin C. White as Counsel in the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Ben’s practice is focused on patent prosecution, litigation, and strategy, and also includes general counseling on intellectual property issues.  Ben has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in both a wide range of technical fields and in a variety of industries. These include electronic, mechanical, and software applications related to medical and surgical devices and systems, industrial systems, scientific instruments, automotive products, and many more.  Ben also has significant patent litigation experience.  Prior to becoming an attorney, Ben worked on radar and radar suppression technology as an electrical engineer.

“Ben’s experience working as an engineer with companies like Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon give him a unique perspective and the ability to more effectively communicate with inventors – many of which are engineers themselves.  He also has strong patent litigation experience and has worked on post-grant proceedings at the Patent Office.  Ben is a valuable addition to our team and we are very happy he joined our Firm,” said Anthony P. Gangemi, Chair of the Murtha Cullina Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Ben is the Secretary of the Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association, the President of the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Fairfield County, and is an active participant in the Judge Janet Bond Arterton American Inn of Court.  He received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his B.S. in General Physics from the University of Michigan.
