Bruce L. McDermott


Bruce McDermott, a partner, is a member of the Regulatory Department and the Energy and Environmental Practice Groups.

His practice includes energy, public utility, environmental and infrastructure law including litigation, transactional and regulatory representation and counseling.

Bruce assists with state and federal environmental compliance and enforcement proceedings and counsels clients on energy and environmental issues in corporate M&A transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures of power plants. He is also experienced in renewable energy project development.

His recent energy experience includes negotiating and structuring all legal aspects of several electric power generation projects from the conceptual stage through completion including review of energy purchase agreements including a microgrid project.

Bruce’s experience on environmental matters includes transactional due diligence and contractual matters, environmental compliance, enforcement, and advising on remediation and redevelopment of contaminated properties.
